PRACTICAL COMMERCIAL WINDOW CLEANING GUIDE
Create a glazing schedule.
Record shopfront doors, display windows, internal partitions and upper-floor windows separately. Identify coated glass, signage, awkward access and any landlord requirements. Frames, sills and residue removal should be itemised rather than assumed from a window count.
Plan around occupants and the public.
State when entrances must stay open and how customers or staff move through the area. Ask the proposal to confirm access, working windows and the scope for each visit. Any high-level capability or specialist equipment needs verification for the site; a general commercial-cleaning service does not establish that capability.
High-level work, specialist access equipment, coatings, signage and paint residue require separate assessment.

Provide the opening hours and preferred access window. Availability and access arrangements must be confirmed, including any need to keep entrances or pedestrian routes open.
Only if they are listed in the scope. Identify partitions, entrance doors and external windows separately, including whether both sides and frames are required.
Describe the height, layout and access restrictions. Capability, equipment and site requirements need assessment before work can be offered; high-level access should not be assumed.
Frequency depends on exposure, footfall and presentation needs. Describe the conditions and preferred standard, then discuss a workable schedule rather than applying one interval to every premises.
