THE RIGHT CLEAN FOR YOUR SPACE
A sofa, armchair or upholstered dining chair needs more than a seat count to define the work. Fabric, construction, removable cushions and care labels affect suitability. Describe stains, pet use, odours and previous cleaning attempts. Sofa cleaning can address suitable soiling, but should not be presented as a guarantee to restore worn fabric, reverse colour loss or remove every mark.

PRACTICAL UPHOLSTERY CLEANING GUIDE
Describe every item separately.
List the sofa size, armchairs, dining chairs and any footstools. Identify fixed backs, removable cushions, decorative trims and accessible sides. Photograph or transcribe the care label if available. Leather, velvet and delicate fibres need specific assessment rather than a standard fabric-cleaning assumption.
Agree the treatment and aftercare.
Ask which areas will be treated, what preparation is needed and how drying and ventilation should be managed. Keep stain history accurate, including products already applied. Clarify whether loose covers are part of the service and when the furniture can be used after the actual process selected.
Leather, velvet, delicate fibres, unstable dyes and damaged upholstery require specific assessment before suitability is confirmed.

Suitability needs assessment. Provide the care label and describe the material, construction and condition. Delicate fabrics, unstable dyes, leather and damaged upholstery must not be assumed suitable for a standard method.
The cause and depth of the problem matter. Soiling can extend beyond the accessible fabric, and permanent staining or damage may remain. Discuss the history and realistic outcome before agreeing treatment.
State whether cushions and covers are removable and share their care instructions. Removing or washing covers is not automatically appropriate or included.
Follow the drying and ventilation guidance for the chosen process and material. Avoid a universal time estimate, and arrange alternative seating while the furniture is drying.
