DUBLIN CLEAN CO. / YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, made clear.

How we handle your information when you visit our website, request a quote or arrange a clean.

Privacy Policy · Updated 9 October 2026

Who is responsible for your information?

Dublin Clean Co is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this website and our cleaning enquiries is used. This is our role as the data controller. You can contact us about privacy using the email, telephone number or postal address shown on this page.

Information we collect

Our quote form asks for your name, telephone number, cleaning service and Dublin area. You can also give a preferred date. When you contact us by email or telephone, we receive the contact information and details you choose to share. If you go ahead with a booking, we will need the service address and relevant instructions to arrange the work.

You do not need to submit an enquiry to browse the website. The contact and service details requested in the form help us respond and assess your request; without enough information, we may be unable to provide a suitable quote or arrange a booking. Please do not include payment card details, alarm codes or sensitive personal information in a general enquiry.

Visiting the website also involves technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times being processed by our hosting and website service providers to deliver and protect the site.

How and why we use your information

  • Quotes and bookings: to respond, discuss the cleaning required, provide a quote and arrange or deliver a service. For an individual customer, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract or to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Business enquiries: to communicate with staff or representatives arranging cleaning for an organisation. Our legitimate interest is responding to business requests and managing customer relationships (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Website operation and security: to deliver pages, investigate faults and protect the site from misuse. Our legitimate interest is operating a reliable, secure enquiry service (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Records and disputes: to meet applicable accounting or other legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)), and where necessary to establish or defend legal claims in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

Submitting a quote request does not sign you up to a newsletter. The current quote forms send an enquiry email; they do not include a marketing subscription action. We do not use these forms to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who receives your information?

Enquiries are sent by email to Gatekeeper Media, which supports Dublin Clean Co with website enquiries. Information is used to handle your request on our behalf. Relevant details may also be accessed by the people arranging or carrying out your cleaning service.

Our website is hosted by Hostinger and built with WordPress and Elementor. Hosting, email and website support providers process information as needed to deliver these services. Professional advisers or public authorities may receive relevant records where required by law or necessary to deal with a legal claim.

International processing: technology providers may use infrastructure or support teams outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry, or to request a copy of applicable safeguards.

How long we keep information

Retention depends on the purpose of the record. For enquiries, we consider whether your request is still active and whether reasonable follow-up is needed. For completed bookings, we consider service administration, applicable accounting requirements and any outstanding complaint or legal claim. Technical records are assessed according to operational and security needs.

Information should be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Email copies and routine backups may follow the relevant provider's retention cycle. You can ask us about the records held in relation to your enquiry and request deletion where the right applies.

Cookies and external website services

WordPress uses cookies for administrator login and session functions. Visiting a public page does not require an administrator account. The current website configuration does not include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Microsoft Clarity tracking.

The website currently loads a Hostinger Reach script from Hostinger's content delivery network. Loading that resource sends technical request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to its provider. No Reach form integration is currently configured. This is separate from the quote form's enquiry email.

If optional analytics or advertising features are introduced, this notice and any necessary cookie choices must be updated before those features are enabled. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. External links take you to services with their own privacy information.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it erased, restrict its use, or receive eligible information in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful use.

Contact hello@dublincleanco.ie to make a request. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Some rights have legal exceptions, which we will explain if they apply.

You can raise a concern with us or complain directly to Ireland's Data Protection Commission. You do not have to contact us first.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our website or the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For questions about this policy, contact Dublin Clean Co at 1 Terenure Place, Dublin, Ireland.
